The author of this book, Mihemed Heme Baq, draws on official documents and records—including correspondence from governments, consuls, tribal leaders, officials, and administrators—as well as previous studies on the Sheikh Ubeydullah Uprising, taking the reader step by step, day by day, through the places and regions where the uprising unfolded.

In extensive detail, we learn which tribes and tribal leaders participated in the uprising and which played a role in opposing it. Drawing on documents and archives from the Qajar state (the Iranian dynasty ruling at the time), as well as from the Ottoman Empire, Russia, and Britain, the author reveals their perspectives on the Kurds and, in doing so, documents an important chapter in Kurdish history.

يعتمد مؤلف هذا الكتاب، محمد حمه باق، على الوثائق والسجلات الرسمية، بما في ذلك مراسلات الحكومات والقناصل وزعماء العشائر والموظفين والإداريين، إلى جانب الدراسات التي أُنجزت حتى الآن حول انتفاضة الشيخ عبيد الله، ليأخذ القارئ خطوةً بخطوة ويوماً بيوم عبر الأماكن والمناطق التي شهدت أحداث الانتفاضة.

ونتعرّف بتفصيل واسع على العشائر وزعمائها الذين شاركوا في الانتفاضة، وكذلك على من أدّوا دوراً في معارضتها. ومن خلال وثائق وأرشيفات الدولة القاجارية، وهي السلالة التي كانت تحكم إيران آنذاك، إضافةً إلى الأرشيفات العثمانية والروسية والبريطانية، يعرض المؤلف نظرة هذه القوى إلى الكرد، ويسهم بذلك في توثيق وكتابة فصل مهم من التاريخ الكردي.
